Bio: Wendee's Blues Rumble It was in high school that Wendee started her broadcast radio career – Clayton Valley High School was the home of radio station KVHS FM. KVHS and CVHS had a program available to the students and for college students called Regional Occupational Program. In the 2 ½ years she worked at the station, Wendee was the Operations Manager, Music Director, part of the Production team and a DJ. After moving to the East Coast – MANY years later – Wendee worked at WNEW-FM and 1010 WINS as a board engineer and in advertising at Grey Worldwide and BBDO in Creative, Post Production and IT. For the last 3 years, Wendee has been working at WFDU as the Office Manager handling administrative duties, fund drive operations, website management and as of November 2011, the host of the Monday edition of Across the Trax. Something that has always been a source of happiness for Wendee is the sharing of music with people - songs that she feels are “hidden treasures.” Not your typical, known tunes, but, pieces that seem to excite your ears and your heart. And, like her tattoo’d skin, her musical taste is quite colorful. Which is what you will find when you listen to Wendee’s Blues Rumble. “The Blues Rumble is like a box of chocolates… You never know what you’ll get.” Oh! And when she’s not at the station, Wendee likes to spend her time running in canine agility trails with her teammate Jak, playing bass, gardening, learning more about computers, and playing with her doggies.
